Protestant Church by night

Hi all
Though I'm currently not in Katowice, an occasional update may happen in this blog, thanks to a good soul PAK who kindly gave mi permission to post some of his photos here :) Thanx PAK!

The protestant church in Katowice is the oldest church in Katowice an was built from 1856 to 1858 by the architect Richard Lucae. Since then there have been two rebuildings (1887-1889 and 1899-1902). (info source: wiki)

Katowice by night - part 4

This photo was taken in Katowice Main Square on Christmas Eve. There are very few season decorations in Katowice this year - only in the very centre. And there is no snow... (Well, today there is some, but it cannot be counted for a real winter)

Before the provider turns off my internet access, here is another "by night" photo (courtesy of J.S.) - the "Tysiąclecie" housing estate (in the background). The name could by roughly translated as "Poland's Millennium Memorial Housing Estate". In the photo there is an interesting contrast between modern blocks of flats and the old tenement houses in the foreground.

Katowice by night - part 1

Just for a change: today the Labour Court which hears and resolves civil cases concerning disputes between employees and employers. Looks nice by night. This is the first part of the "Katowice by night" series.

I'll return to the animal theme, but it will be in a few days... unfortuantely I'll have a few days' break in the access to the internet as I'm changing the provider. Come back in a few days! :)
