Ornamental, mosaic decorations on one of the houses in the very centre, at ul. Miarki - the style quite uncommon for the industrial Katowice. Still, when we look up sometimes we notice such beauties...
Firstly, nice photos on your blog! I was looking up Katowice as I am looking to book flights to Krakow which leads me to my question. How far is it to Krakow from Katowice? Apologies for the touristy question but I'm looking at going to Krakow and wouldn't mind flying into Katowice to take some photos! I can fly from Corok to Katowice instead of getting extra flights.
Hi donal, it is about 80 km from Katowice to Kraków... you can travel by train or by car - the travel lasts about 1 hour. As far as I know there is no problem to get to Kraków, there are quite w few trains. Best wishes and have a nice stay in Poland! :)

This is a very beautiful building, but you know, I often find the industrial buildings beautifl in the own way too.
I'd love to see some of this side of Katowice.
