Pierogi ruskie
Well, it's obvious that the crow thinks her own birds fairest, but I truly believe I haven't eaten better pierogi ruskie than those in the photo, prepared by my mother-in-law. I can even forgive her the skwarki garnish made from fried bacon, which on this particular ocasion were a bit overdone - but still quite tasty.
I'm posting pierogi today inspired by Glen's post from Toruń.

I love both posts. As soon as I saw the photo on the portal I knew there was a connection. It's a good picture to acquaint anyone unfamiliar with them to see what they look like. They always reminded me a bit of Italian ravioli, too.
I wrote a comment on the Toruń blog and ask Glenn if he wanted to trade recipes. How about you?
I have probably never eaten this dish but then I don't know how the dish name translates into English. It looks something like what we call dumplings -- which I like. I have a roll of that around my waist line.
My post today explains about a duck's sexual habits. Not sure if I should label it with an "X" or not.
I'm glad my post inspired yours. Your dish makes me want to say: Mniam Mniam!!! By the way I also love skwarkie!!! Good stuff! Check out Toruń DP for a pic of our most famous resident and also for some behind the scene pics from Friday night's Polsat concert!!
I say.. its food of Gods!
