Katowice Airport

On impulse, seeing the blogs for other cities of the world, I decided to start a photo blog for the city of Katowice, the city where I was born and where I live. I’m new to blogging and absolute amateur in photography, but… you live and learn, so hopefully the photos will become good and interesting, and, hopefully, I learn how to use all the options of blogger.com.
Visit and enjoy!

The first photo is from the Katowice Airport, located – surprisingly – in Pyrzowice, a few kilometers from the city.

I think most of us join on impulse. Well put. I look forward to you blog. My dad loves Poland and has visited 3 (or 4) times since the early 1980's.

it's not that surprising that the Katowice airport is not in Katowice itself. Many international airports are located outside big cities where there is no room anymore... (see Paris' two main international airports which are actually located in Orly and Roissy, for example).

I love Poland. Been to Krakow 3 times and Katowice once. Of course that was by mistake. Flying from Rome to Krakow they diverted our flight to Katowice due to fog in Krakow. I can't wait to return.
